To believe is to act Credo Arts Community
About Credo Arts Community . . .

Credo* is a community of Christians from across Hull, England, who believe that truth can be communicated through the arts. We aim to take high quality, dynamic presentations into the community - to entertain, challenge and inspire, bringing a fresh perspective to contemporary issues and ancient truths.
Since forming in the summer of 1996, Credo have been kept busy, devising, writing and performing material, focusing on bringing together a wide variety of media. They have performed in venues across the country, including The Guildhall, Hull, the London School of Economics, Sheffield Cathedral, Westminster Abbey, and street drama in Hull, Birmingham, Sheffield and York, as well as many local churches, pubs, community centres, and schools. Their commitment to taking theatre into the community has been seen in their accessible presentations and workshops.

Credo Arts Community is a registered charity, and relies upon money from grants, ticket sales, scripts sales and donations from individuals and groups.

It costs Credo about £2,100 a year to do nothing!
That’s how much we spend on insurance, rent on storage for props & costume and our office, gas/electric bills, etc. each year. And more money is needed to plan ahead for larger expenses such as sound and technical equipment, taking on a gap year volunteer, launching a major project, etc.

That is why we are looking for people who would be willing to commit to making a monthly donation to Credo. If you would be willing and able to make a monthly gift please download and fill in the standing order form below and send it to your bank. If you pay income or capital gains tax and fill in the gift aid form and return it to us then we can currently claim back an extra 28p for every £1 you donate. If you are not sending us a gift aid form, but have set up a standing order, please let us know the amount.

One-Off Donations
If you or your church/group would like to support the work of Credo with a one-off donation, please send a cheque payable to Credo Arts Community to the address above, or if you prefer you can pay via internet banking to Credo Arts Community, sort code 08-60-01, account number 20126304. If you pay income tax or capital gains tax then Credo can reclaim the tax which you have already paid on your gift back from the government if you download and fill in a gift aid form from the link below.
